Ingredients:

  • 500g Organic Strong White Bread Flour
  • 7g fast-action dried yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 300ml warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, dried yeast, and salt.
  2. Gradually add the warm water, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 10-15 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  6. Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf.
  7. Place the loaf on a greased baking sheet or in a greased loaf pan.
  8. If desired, brush the top of the loaf with olive oil for a golden crust.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
