About Bouclé:
Ben and Louise are the creative minds behind Bouclé! Hailing from Sussex, they crossed paths while pursuing their shared passion for Fashion Design with Knitwear at university in London. Amidst internships at global fashion giants, they became disillusioned by the fast fashion industry's unethical practices and waste and their dedication to slow, artisanal craftsmanship blossomed.
Following graduation, their creative pursuits ignited a shared interest in natural materials and holistic wellness, especially after Ben had started suffering from headaches, finally linking them to the candles he'd been burning, made from paraffin and scented artificially. Thus, their exploration into essential oil blends began, evolving from a simple experiment to the birth of Bouclé in 2020. What started as a side project soon flourished into a full-time passion. When not immersed in their studios, you'll find Ben & Louise soaking up the seaside serenity, cycling through Essex's verdant landscapes, or indulging in crochet under the sun.
